Style Spotlight: Elyssa of Boston University!
This week’s style spotlight is on Elyssa of Boston University, a kindred spirit with a shared passion for head scarves, mullet skirts, and fur! She also happens to be one of America’s 50 Most Stylish Students!
“I love pretty skirts and dresses, but nothing makes me feel as great as a pair of jeans. Jeans are the center of my wardrobe (so I’m loving that colored jeans are coming into style!) so I try to make my outfit different with accessories. I love scarves—stylish and comfy—who could ask for anything more?”
This ear cuff is probably the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. And if her Most Stylish Places are any indication of her summer vacation plans, then I just got extremely jealous. Hello, Caribbean!

Style Spotlight: Allison of Evanston!
This week’s style spotlight is on Allison of Evanston, IL, a fellow Olsen enthusiast and lover of pastels and pattern mixing. (We also share an affinity for alliteration.)
“My style is completely unpredictable, and I never know what I’m going to want to wear when I wake up each morning. One day I’ll be feeling flowy and bohemian, and the next day I’m looking for a more structured, menswear-inspired look. However, one constant in my personal style is that I’m never afraid to be bold. I love bright lipsticks, statement shoes, and big pieces of jewelry. Risk taking is always fun for me!”
And now, I’ve totally been inspired to rock some pastels this weekend (and maybe even a peplum!) For more style inspo, including how to channel your inner Ferris Bueller, 80’s style, check out Allison’s film-inspired style blog!
Follow her Style Profile here and share the looks you love on your own Style Profile! You can also find some of these looks on our Pinterest! Have a great weekend - wear something bold.
Our Favorite Looks: On the Street in NYC
The seasons have changed, and the stylishly savvy have taken to the streets in full force. The blatant display of fashion in New York City has inspired me to chronicle all of this fabulous street style as part of a new series of “favorite looks” from the streets of NYC.
This week, it appears the fashion forward have officially traded in their Fall denim for its Spring season counterpart: the printed pant.
Exhibit A:
Bloggers Aziza and Avelin sport matching printed pants on the West Side Highway.
Is traditional denim a thing of the past? Only time will tell. But for now, the printed pant reigns supreme. How will you wear it this season?
