Our Most Stylish Campus Competition is still under way with 6 days left to go, and these Style Profiles just keep getting better!  Dakotah, currently number 37 in the running for America’s Most Stylish Student, sat down with us to give us the inside scoop on campus style at NYU.  Show her some love and follow her Style Profile here!  

On campus style. At NYU, personal style is even more diverse than the student body! Living in New York is an adventure every day, and the students take advantage of that opportunity by experimenting with their wardrobes. You can find every trend in circulation (and some that are not!) sitting beside you in an 8am class. Chiffon, pastel colors, and python prints are prominent. On a colder spring day, lingerie-inspired tights and military green coats carried over from Fall run rampant on Washington Square Park.

On personal style. I always describe my style as ‘nomadic’ or ‘transient.’ Even though I am a prim and proper southern girl (who has a debutante dress hanging in her closet over a pair of custom cowboy boots), I prefer to think of my wardrobe as a hodgepodge that would impress Kerouac himself.
