Today, we asked Alli and Katie of The Daily Varnish to give us some expert nail polish advice for summer based on the colors that are trending in your closets!  

Last week it was all about neutrals, and this week it is all about bright colors! One of the difficulties with wearing bright colors is knowing what to wear on your nails. After all, your nail polish can make or break an outfit. We were excited when Stylitics asked us to do a guest post and share our thoughts on bridging the gap between nail polish and fashion, since we believe the two go hand in hand.

Once you’ve picked out an outfit, the next step is picking the perfect polish. You can either choose to coordinate or contrast your nails to the colors in your ensemble. Below are some of the top trending colors from Stylitics last week and polishes that will ensure your outfit is a do, not a don’t.

Orange

Coordinate: Navy or royal Blue

Contrast: Bright pink

Fuschia

Coordinate: Bright yellow

Contrast: Orange

Aqua

Coordinate: Orange

Contrast: Navy, kelly green

Pastel Purple

Coordinate: Green, Baby Blue

Contrast: Red
